Recently we all witnessed a heart breaking loss of the Indian Cricket Team in the WTC ( World Test Championship) final against the opponents we prefer to lose every time . Yes, the Kiwis. Since 2003 India has never won against New Zealand in the ICC tournaments. The loss belongs to the whole team and not just a single person. It’s so easy to say it right, talking about the ethics and all. But do we as Indians ever follow it? It’s hard to answer that because if our team wins we say it’s because of the team effort and if we lose then captain is responsible for it. The thing that rankles me is that there are some extraordinary wins with some spectacular performances in the tournament and then when it comes to the loss we just simply say “change the captain”.
